reach our goal of 2 tons of food by March 22. Schools and organizations
in the Wachusett area are joining together to help fight hunger
in our community by participating in the first annual "Every
Ounce Counts" community food drive.
Our goal is to collect at least 2 tons of food
to be donated to the WHEAT Community Services food pantry in time
for our Open
House on
March 22.
WHEAT regularly distributes hundreds of bags
of food to residents of Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Lancaster and
Sterling.Most
needed
items include: tuna, peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta sauce,
canned vegetables,
cereal, beans, juice, canned fruit, oatmeal, soup, rice, stew,
pasta, toothpaste, deodorant, toothpaste and shampoo. |
