Inc. Announces New Officers and Board Members FY 2007-2008
August 7, 2007 - The Board
of Directors for WHEAT Community Services, Inc. elected a new slate
of officers on Thursday, June 28. Don Lowe, Director of Community
and Economic Development for the Town of Clinton was elected President
for FY2007-2008. Kerry Flathers, Director of Organizational Advancement
at Perkins was elected Vice President. Robert Pauhlus, Jr., Senior
Vice President and Department Head, Commercial Lending for Clinton
Savings Bank was elected as a new member and as our new Treasurer,
and past president Theresa Kane, Chief Operating Officer for The
Polus Center for Social and Economic Development is the new clerk.
Parent and Child Home Care Program Coordinator Linda Hughes will
serve on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past President. Returning
board members include Mary Pat Heelan of Legacy Publishing; Eleanor
Mahoney, Lancaster Public Schools; Judy McGrail, Clinton Public
Schools; Ellen Philbin, consultant; Tena Zapantis, Account Manager
and Buyer for NYPRO; Kathy Veroude, Director of Willow Hills School
in Sudbury; Steve Adam, President of the Franklin County Food Program
and employee of NYPRO; and Pam Hill, manager of the Berlin Branch
of the Clinton Savings Bank. The board also elected in and welcomed
Stanley Starr of Starr Investments, and expressed gratitude for
the years of service outgoing board member, Cindy Buhner of the
Growing Garden Project, provided during her tenure.
