WHEAT announces election of Board members and officers

September 28, 2003 - WHEAT Community Services, Inc. elected the following new members to its Board of Directors at its annual meeting in June: Lisa Bilbrey Hyder of Lancaster, Donna Jones, Steven Mendoza, and Kathy Veroude all of Clinton.They join the current Board of Directors, which includes Steven Cash, Dr. Charles Conroy, Jean Durkin, Chris Hurd, Dr. Theresa E. Kane, Paula LaLiberte, Judy McGrail, Edward Philbin III, Ellen K. Philbin, Joan Scheid, and Joan Vitone. Additionally, a new slate of officers was installed: Dr. Theresa Kane, President, Ellen Philbin, Vice President, Chris Hurd, Treasurer, and Kathy Veroude, Clerk. They will replace outgoing President Paula LaLiberte and Vice President Joan Vitone, who will remain as active members of the Board.

WHEAT Community Services is a nonprofit agency that, since 1982, has provided assistance to low-to-moderate income residents of Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Lancaster, and Sterling in times of need. Services include a food pantry, thrift store, fuel assistance, information and referral services and employment assistance.
